This hand-blown glass lamp by Jenny Worrall is internally decorated with skilfully cut out images. This one features purple Iris which derive from a painting in the archives of the RHS. The background is sponged gold backed by soft off white paint.
Height: 34.5cm
Diameter: 19.5cm
Jenny Worrall's creations are inspired by the design archives of the Victoria and Albert museum and the Royal Horticultural Society, where Jenny has exclusive rights to many images in their visual treasure troves. Each hand-blown glass base is decorated using the Victorian technique of Potichomania. This labour intensive method involves a team of artists applying intricately cut-out images and decorative paint finishes to the inside of glass bases creating highly individual works of art.
If you wish to select a lampshade, please see our full range in the 'Empire Lampshades' and “Conic Lampshades` category. We would advise a 40cm diameter lampshade for this lamp base.
